wmorris 0 Posted May 4, 2009 :tounge_smile:it didn't hurt me but it did feel unconfortable. Can't wait until my 1st fill. I fill like I can eat any amount (i don't) and eat anything except bread. only 4 weeks after surgery.
JayTee562 1 Posted May 5, 2009 I've been adding some more solid foods and they haven't been a problem yet, had crockpot chciken tonight and that was a little touchy but fine in the end. I have been getting full from just a small portion of something now that I've added solids.
Souleman 0 Posted May 6, 2009 (edited) Hello, I am New here. I was Banded on April 24, 2009. I started out at 296lbs 5'6", 48 BMI. I am now down to 272lbs. I am doing the diet , starting the purred foods and soft foods. I have started to not lose as much now but am staying the same. I know I am in the adjusting phase now and am supposed to get my first fill on the 1st week of June. So hopefully all stays well. I just feel bloated a lot and didn't know if that was common. I don't have a strong support field around here as I received the surgery in a different Location. Thanks Guys, Dennis Edited May 6, 2009 by Souleman
stevef 0 Posted December 5, 2009 Hey Guys - It's been 8 months since we were banded and I just thought I'd see how everyone is doing. It took 5 fills for me and we're finally dialed in (10.5ccs in a 14cc band). I finally seem to be making some steady progress. Let us know how you're doing. Cheers! My doc is pretty conservative with the fills. I get them once a month and I think I have had 6 or 7. I feel like I need more fill. I definately eat less, but I tend to get hungry within 2-3 hours. From what they tell me, I need to consistently make it 4-5 hours between meals. I have lost 78 lbs so far(started at 422).

JayTee562 1 Posted December 6, 2009 I've lost 56 pounds since surgery 96 total since consultation. I'm doing good my primary care doctor and my surgeon are both happy with my progress. I'm 12 pounds from my first goal I'm setting a secondary goal to get somewhere below 200 after that.
Wanttolose 0 Posted December 6, 2009 I'm down just about 64 pounds since surgery. Still happy with my results. I find that I have to work harder now to lose weight. I guess the free ride is over and the work begins!
stevef 0 Posted December 6, 2009 Great - sounds like we're all well on our way! Watntolose - in what way are you finding it more difficult? Steve
REALIZEinCT 0 Posted December 6, 2009 I've had 5 fills and have 6.2 cc's in a 9 cc Realize Band (1 unfill along the way too). I definitely cannot go any tighter. I've lost 83 pounds and can't seem to lose anymore no matter how strict the diet is or how much I workout. I feel great though and would be satisfied if I didn't lose another pound. Also, it's helpful that people, whose opinion I respect, have said that I don't need to, nor shouldn't, lose anymore weight. I also did the Couch to 5k Program this year and ran 3 (!) 5k's already!! The program works and it made me a runner. I love running now and would highly recommend it to anyone else. I am very happy with my decision to get banded and have enjoyed it immensely! Good luck to everyone else in your journey.
Wanttolose 0 Posted December 7, 2009 I find that I have to exercise more to lose weight. The weight is still comming off, but I guess I have to earn it. After surgery the pounds seemed to come off on their own. I may have a slow period of weight loss because I go in for knee surgery in 2 weeks.
