bellatrickz 0 Posted March 25, 2009 Hi everyone. I've been wondering after Lap Band Surgery, How soon can you sleep on your stomach again??? Is there pressure??? Or you just avoid it???-Thanks :huh2:
leepizz 0 Posted March 25, 2009 i was concern about this also. I am a stomach sleeper. Since being banded in June 08 I have been on my stomach sleeping with no problem. I don't feel the port at all. I can't remember when I was able to go on my stomach after surgery but I am sure it was within a few weeks.

TampaPirateChick 0 Posted March 25, 2009 Good to hear! Did you guys have any of the "wretching" that I am having in the evenings? On this thurs 1 week out. Had my lap band on March
1RockinMom 0 Posted March 25, 2009 What do you mean by "wrenching"?
RestlessMonkey 7 Posted March 25, 2009 I slept on my left (port LOL) side the night of my surgery, and on my stomach the night after my surgery. No problems. BUT I was motivated to do so; I feel it helps prevent adhesions etc. And my personality is such that the sooner I get 'back to normal" the better I feel. Had my lap band on March 19 Are you nauseated? You need to tell your surgeon about this NOW! :huh2: He'll give you something to stop it, most likely; if it's especially violent it can be hard on the band. Alisoninoz 0 Posted March 25, 2009 Hi I used a pillow to prop up my leg to sleep on my side/stomach. I felt this took the strain off my port and was comfortable to sleep. Try it, it may help. I found after a couple of weeks I didn't need the pillow. :tt1:
