armywife4life 0 Posted March 23, 2009 Hi, i know we are not aloud to really use NSAIDS which Motrin is one. But sometimes Tylenol just does not cut the muscle ache pain i have. I am wondering if anyone occassionally uses Motrin and what dosage do you use? Any problems you have had?? Etc.
haroldrussi 0 Posted March 23, 2009 Each Dr. is different (now that the disclaimer is done) but my Dr. told me to take Advil geltabs which is motrin in a geltab for increased pain relief because of the lower pain threshold I said I had. But check with your Dr for sure.

kgloverii 0 Posted March 23, 2009 Each doctor is different. I highly suggest you talk to your doctor about this. Some allow NSAIDS if taken with antacids, or in small doses etc.
Elizabethdb 0 Posted March 23, 2009 I havent had any trouble with Advil. I take 3 a day. The only problem I have with them is that they tend to get stuck so I have switched over to 2 Aleve everyday and that seems to work well. Is this post op pain or just everyday pain? H. pylori is a bacteria and You CANNOT get it from taking NSAIDS. The cause is not exactly known but the current theory is that it is spread from person to person usually by sharing eating utensils or drinking glasses and also from kissing. There has even been a theory tossed out there that is could be coming from common house flys that land on your food and then you eat it. But I repeat you CANNOT get Helicobacter pylori from taking NSAIDS.
