lanashegog 0 Posted March 19, 2009 Greetings to you!!! I was banded on March 3rd. I've lost 15 pounds in two weeks. I hope you enjoy your journey. I began my journey in April of 2008. I was going for the bypass but due to health issues I got the lapband. So far so good. Did you find out about your insurance? Does it cover it? If you have any questions, please let me know! apalmer79 0 Posted March 20, 2009 Hi!!! Congrats on your successes! :tongue_smilie: I also was considering gastric bypass. It just seemed too invasive & reconstructive for me. When I learned about the Lap Band, I was intrigued! Yep, I contacted my insurance-- aside from the general criteria (all of which I meet) - it'll be a $350 copay at the hospital. I dont think thats much at all.... considering Ive paid the same amount to Weight Watchers .... more than once. Im excited to really get the ball rolling!
