aubrie 6 Posted March 30, 2009 My hubby is Cajun too!!! Born in New Orleans. We would die if we didn't eat fish. I have no problem with raw oysters at all. GREAT source of pure Protein, fat free and delicious..... I live in Corpus Christi, so we have a lot of reefs around to supply them. We are careful about where they are harvested though. We eat a lot of shellfish. Crabs (very easy to eat with band), shrimp, crawfish. My husband fishes on the weekends so we eat a lot of trout and redfish as well. I have the most trouble with this if it's over cooked and dry. Of course we eat a lot of red Beans and rice too. I'm of French decent, so my husband was delighted I knew how to cook all this stuff. Locomotive Engineer 0 Posted March 31, 2009 I don't see why they would be any different than any other food. Just chew. I love raw oysters. I haven't tried them though since I've been banded. This thread has me wanting some. You know what they say about oysters being an aphrodisiac. Well, I'm here to tell you it's not true. I ate fourteen of them once and only nine worked!!!
