New here and banded-to-be!

Hello,

I have been browsing these boards since attending a True Results seminar and making the decision to proceed with Lap Band surgery. I am self pay so things are moving along pretty quickly and I am a bit nervous. Not about the surgery itself (well...a little bit!) but that I am going to pay all this money and it won't work. After all..I have paid out lots of money over the past 8 years of being overweight, thinking "this time I am going to lose it for SURE" and just falling off the wagon shortly after getting on it! I really cannot imagine something actually working for me!

Anyway - just wanted to post a little about me. This is a great resource for some real advice!

Hello! I am pretty new too. I had a consultation last Monday and I have been offered 22nd April for banding. Things are happening fast! It is frightening, but exciting. I have been overweight since my early 20's and never succeeded in losing weight and keeping it off. I can't really believe that it might actually work with banding.
