I HAD MY SURGERY ON JANUARY 7, 2009. ALL TOTAL, PRE DIET AND POST OP) I HAVE LOST 52 LBS SINCE 11/6/08.

I HAVE NOT HAD ANY FILLS YET AS I DO NOT FEEL HUNGRY.

RIGHT NOW I SEEM TO BE ON A PLATEAU. I CAN'T SEEM TO LOSE ANY WEIGHT NO MATTER WHAT I DO. I AM TRYING JUST shakes FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS.

HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM? ANY TIPS?

THANKS!!:sneaky:

Welcome to LapBandTalk!

Even if you don't feel hungry, you may still need a fill. What does your surgeon say?

Hi macmadame,

up until 2 weeks ago i was losing the 2 lbs a week and not feeling hungry. So dr kwon's nurse suggested going on Protein Shakes only for a few days to jump start my system again. I have

picked up the pace as far as exercising. I am wondering if it is muscle that is the weight gain??

How long have you had your band.? Almost 90 lbs!! That's great, good for you. I go back to the dr. Next week. I'll see what happens. Thanks for answering.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
