Angeleyes 1 Posted August 22, 2005 I would like to see a section for people who have less than 75 pounds to lose. We could be called "lite weights" or something simular. We have less to lose and lose slower than others so we could compare to others with the samer amounts to lose. We may lose so slow that we cause others to wonder if it is worth it. What do you think? 1 hellohello reacted to this

It seems to me that at some point, if the band works, everyone will have less than 75 lbs to lose. Other than insurance approval and doctor willingness to perform the surgery, is there really a difference? Educate me! Jonathan
Joy Joy 0 Posted August 23, 2005 I like that idea. I myself have 75 to lose. The Patient Advocate at for MIBC where i will be having surgery had the same goal 80lbs she reached her goal weight in 8-9 months, she looks great. So yes i think it is worth it. 75lbs is still a lot of weight to lose.
Angeleyes 1 Posted August 25, 2005 We need the support of others who are not losing large amounts of weight.I am four months out and feel like I am not doing well because I have not lost alot of weight compared to others. 1 othella2 reacted to this
kellymoos 4 Posted August 25, 2005 I feel the same way, but we just have to realize that they do have more to lose than us. Hang in there and we are doing great!!
othella2 76 Posted June 4, 2019 This was a good idea. With less weight to lose and doing so at a slower pace sometimes worries me. Of course going to the gym tonight. Just wish I had someone with me that can actually understand how hard this is sometimes.Sent from my Moto E (4) using BariatricPal mobile app
mousecat88 2,281 Posted June 4, 2019 I don't fall into this category, but I do support this. I see others starting at 215 or whatever that don't have as much to lose with the same concerns. But just remember, you'll get to your goal before us heavy weights do! So that's always a plus. Wish I had my surgery much sooner! Good luck!
summerset 5,265 Posted June 4, 2019 Slow losers? It's not a race. No gold medals and 1 million bucks for the one who crosses the magic finish line called "normal weight" first. 1 mousecat88 reacted to this
