HolllieD 0 Posted March 14, 2009 I was banded Feb 20, and at my one week check up I was doing so well they said I could advance to solids as long as it was chewed up to the consistency of applesauce. So I eat chicken, potatoes.. easily chewed foods. Nothing has given me any trouble.. I can eat about a cup or so of food at a time. Is this normal? I thought I was suppose to have trouble with solids, and not be able to eat much. Is it possible my band is messed up or is it just b/c there isn't much or anything in my band. Thanks! tlhamilton 0 Posted March 14, 2009 I would say it is because there is no fill or very little fill in your band.
crzytchr 3 Posted March 14, 2009 You don't have a fill yet. I would, however, try to eat less than that unless they told you that a cup at a time was ok. Try eating a half a cup. You may find that it is enough to satisfy you for now. If not, then go back and get the other half. What I tried was putting the amount I was supposed to have on my plate. I was surprised that I very seldom went back for extra, but I also ate what was put on my plate. Good luck and remember this stage isn't really for losing, but if you do it's bonus.
