:huh2:Hello Everyone, Just wanted to say I had a the Lap band on 03-02-09. I am so excited and anxious. I cannot wait to see what the scales say. Once the gas/diahrrea left as seems alot better. I must say there is not much to eat out there for the stage I am in. Still looking for something else. Any ideas?

I got my band on 3-9, I am on full liquids--Carnation Instant Breakfast Drink (no surgar added), High Protein Slim Fast. I use the powder with skim milk. My doc says no 1% or 2% as it has to much fat. No sugar popciles, crystal light, tea and Water. I can have apple or grape juice that is cut with water. I plan to have some egg drop Soup next week as I head into the mushies just because I miss something that has a good taste. I can add yogurt and cottage cheese next.

I am scheduled for my surgery tomorrow. I am a bag of nerves! I think I've been on this site too long reading too many horror stories...I hope I made the right choice I so bad want this to work for me with no hassles

      Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
      What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
