Guest a band apart Posted March 12, 2009 i just got banded yesterday and am at home resting now. i only started considering the lap band in december 2008 and just 3 months later am recovering from the surgery! it all happened so fast that i'm still processing everything and am so glad to have this site as a resource. it seems every concern i've had so far has already been discussed at length here! anyway, i'm hoping to meet a few band pros and some people who are just getting started like me. I started investigating in February, and may be scheduled for surgery in May. From all the posts I've been reading, I guess we're pretty lucky! I also was on the fast track - first consult in October 2007 and surgery just a month later. You're right - this site is a terrific resource, and an endless source of support and encouragement.
