BillOh 13 Posted March 12, 2009 Last month my doctor cut my blood pressure medicine in half, and yesterday he cut it in half again and gave me one month's worth of pills. He said when they are gone, you are done with it Just keep monitoring it and let him know if it spikes. I made my appointment with the sleep doctor for next week. I am going to wear the oxygen measuring clip on my finger over night and I expect it to say I'm greatly improved and hopefully cured of sleep apnea. My wife says I don't snore anymore and my breathing sounds better. In one month I may be cured of two life threatening conditions! The surgery will have definitely been worth it. PATCHELTON 0 Posted March 12, 2009 Congratulations on your success! Feels good doesn't it? I am off 2 cholesterol meds, a reflux med, and one of 2 BP meds (with a reduced dose on the one I still take). I haven't gone for the sleep study yet (I was not really good about using my CPAP) and I live alone so my cats aren't talking about whether I still snore(LOL). I am thrilled with the results of my surgery. I am still learning to chew thoroughly, and some foods don't agree with me like they used to, but I have adjusted. If you like pizza, I devised a crustless pizza recipe for the microwave. It eliminates the chewy crust and I get the sauce and the toppings I love. PM me if you would like the recipe. I have a fat free Mexican dip recipe too if you are interested. Lots of Protein in both. Good luck on your journey.
