clowning89 0 Posted March 12, 2009 Hello, everyone, I am 3 weeks post-op and feel very weak through out the day, I am eating what I was told to eat and drink plenty of fluids, but I seem to get worn out really fast. Any ideas?
fleminld 0 Posted March 12, 2009 It is your body recovering from surgery and the fact that you are eating so few calories. I was really weak the 1 week i was on liquids. I was still getting tired all the time until i moved back onto solids/real food in my 3rd week. So depending on what your doc has you doing, i'd expect tiredness and feeling week until you are back onto real food for a few days.
bearbandit 0 Posted March 12, 2009 I was very weak for the first 3-4 weaks. This is normal. Your body is going through some major changes. Follow to the tee what the doctor told you to eat. As soon as you start eating solids you energy will come back. When you start exercising and the weight is coming off you will have lots of energy. I have some much energy now I cant even sit still. Good luck on your journey:thumbup:
TQUAD64 9 Posted March 12, 2009 Get lots of rest. Keep your Fluid intake up. Keep your Protein intake up even if it is in liquid form. Go for walks. What your going through is the normal process because of the surgery. It will get better. Vitamin B12 under the tongue might help boost your energy. Good luck!
