Age and the Band

Does anyone know someone who has had the band who are age 70 or older? I really think it would be a great solution for my dad, but he turns 70 in December. He has no other health conditions other then being about 150 pounds overweight. I would like to have him around for a few more years, and without some sort of weight loss surgery, I am afraid he will start showing effects of all this extra weight.

My mom was banded in April, this year, she's lost around 30 lbs, and she will be 74 next month. She's doing great. Heck I'm 55, not far from her.

Thanks for your response. How was your mom's recovery??? How is she doing now? How is she doing for weight loss? I really want this to work for my dad. he deserves a few good more years.
