tlhamilton 0 Posted March 11, 2009 Hello, my name is Tiffany, I am new to the group and live in the Las Vegas area. I was banded on March 3rd, 2009. On my follow up appt with my dr. 3-9 I was down 11 lbs...he did explain once I am out of the liquid phase that is what I should loose in a month (not a week) which I am totally fine with. I choose the lap band for the slower weight loss and thusly hopefully more nutrients and less saggy skin. Next week he said I can add scrambled eggs, cottage cheese and oatmeal to my diet....I have never looked forward to something so much. Thanks for listening. BigAli 0 Posted March 11, 2009 Tiffany, Congrats! I'm so psyched and look forward to my turn. I was wondering if the lap band versus the gastric bypass lessens the loose skin problems. If anyone knows about that please inform. Thanks!
MissBS 3 Posted March 11, 2009 Hi Tiffany and welcome to LBT!!! Congratulations on getting your band. Never thought you'd be dreaming about scrambled eggs, or be so excited at the thought of cottage cheese... right? That 11 pounds is a great start.... keep up the good work!! I love coming here and reading other people's posts. I get plenty of answers and it's nice to "talk" with people who know what this weight loss journey is all about. Also, the time I'm here reading, asking, and posting, I'm out of the kitchen and not thinking about food. Take good care of yourself!! Becky
