gadumplin 1 Posted March 10, 2009 Okay all you experienced people in Lab band world I need some advice. I am 9 months and 3 fills out and have lost 60 pounds:biggrin:. I felt like I needed more restriction so I called my Dr last week and sceduled a fill, or to discuss a fill on the 19th of March. They have me keeping a food diary to bring in with me so they can get a feel for what is going on. Well yesterday while having lunch with 4 of my co workers I had an episode of something; just started sliming and then threw up in front of God and everyone... Had dinner last night all was going well and all of a sudden ..up it came.:tt2: So I am going to soft foods today. I guess I am wondering if maybe I am too tight and that is why my weight loss has slowed down? ANy ideas or suggestions?
kiz 1 Posted March 10, 2009 (edited) If, up to this point, you have been able to eat solid foods (good Proteins, for example) w/o issue, my guess would be that you weren't eating as carefully as you should since you were out with friends, and you ate too fast and/or didn't chew well. After that episode, you might have irritated your band and caused some swelling, which lead to the second episode later in the day. Going to mushies, or even liquids for a day or two, and slowly back to mushies (just like after a fill) is a good idea. Then try adding back a good solid Protein (carefully), and see how it goes. If, on the other hand, you've been depending on soft food for awhile, because you haven't been able to hold down solids, then there's a good chance you are a little tight. I've heard many people say that being too tight, and eating only soft foods, slows down or stops their weight loss. Edited March 10, 2009 by kiz
