Merced 0 Posted March 7, 2009 When I diet (just under and up to 1000 cals a day) I get tired, my vision goes blurry, and I clench or tap my teeth. This is every time. Why is this? Obviously, I am tired because my body is adjusting. It adjusts fine as long as I spread the cals and have plenty of Protein. But why the vision problems? Why teeth clenching or tapping? As soon as I go to 2000 cals a day I can see fine. Is it blood sugar? IDK?
aubrie 6 Posted March 9, 2009 This is so interesting. I have recently had to have my mouth outfitted with a gaurd to wear at night. I'm almost 50 years old and have never clenched my teeth. Now I have started waking up with sore teeth from clenching. I couldn't figure this out. I also started having stabbing pain in my eye balls. Out of the blue. Do you think my caloric intake or blood sugar levels are causing this? I've been getting light headed and "spacey" a lot too, but I thought this was my blood pressure dropping as I lost weight. I've already had my dose adjusted twice.
Libbyjane1976 1 Posted March 9, 2009 You probably need to be on a 1500 or 1200 calorie diet. My regular doctor explained to me that because you are bigger you use up more calories when you move. Instead of a 1000 calorie diet try 1500 and see how that goes for you.
