Gainging weight after fill......

Recommended Posts

I have not posted for awhile, but seem to need some input from ya'll experienced banders. I went for my second fill about two weeks ago and have gained weight since not lost. I had been loosing nice and slow since my surgery 10/13/08, but after my fill I have gained about 3lbs. I had a conversation with the NP that filled me about not snacking, and tried that but ended up eating like way to much for dinner for about a week because I was so hungry. I guess my question is about the whole not snacking thing. I don't snack in the morning, but am going to go back to it in the afternoon to keep from eating so much at dinner. Let me know what ya'll think. Thanks.

Keep track of your sodium. Especially after a fill when I am on liquids I find that I have way too much sodium and I tend to gain right around 3 pounds. Are you tracking calories and exercise? It is important to keep tabs on what is going in and out of your body.

I think it all depends on the snack. I eat about 4 times a day and have a non fat mocha. I log all of my calories each day and stay between 1200-1500. It depends on what you are eating. My snack is a 100 calorie pb choc chip chewy bar. Also, being a teacher, I don't have much time for lunch so I eat a Campbells soup-at-hand. That means my lunch and snack together are less than 200 calories. It just depends on if the snack is pushing your food intake for the day up too much. I think that a resonable snack is much better than eating too much dinner. Eating too much can lead to problems. I try really hard not to let myself get too hungry.

What kinds of foods are you snacking on?

Hi Emilie! I lost your email address...can you drop me a line? I've had your problem, too and maybe we can give each other some tips! jeffthurston55@gmail.com

I know you changed your address and can't find the new one.

Hi,

I'm confused about why some of you use several weight loss tickers.icon5.gif

Thanks!

It is to keep track and show progress on different goal/challenges. One is for my weight loss since banding, another for my goal for my one year mark and I am participating in a challenge.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
