Arms and Legs... Grrrr...

Recommended Posts

:cursing: Okay so I am so happy to have lost almost 70 punds in five months - my face and my overall health has changed all for the better - but truth be told - my arms and legs still look funky! I would love to start wearing cute summer tops but my arms - oh my! Do any of you have any hidden workout secrets that have helped your arms look good? - Or legs for that matter?

I want arms like Michelle Obama.I guess it means going nuts on push ups, pull ups, weight lifting and that sort of thing.

Yeah. She's proud of them too. It's 30 freaking degrees outside in DC and she walks around sleeveless 24/7. I've only seen her in sleeves once or twice...... Blah......

The younger you are the better your chance of your arms returning to normal. It has a lot to do with the elasticity of your skin. But you'll also have to be patient. It could take a year to a year and a half past your goal. I'm a few months shy of 50, so I don't have a snowballs chance in hell of ever having pretty arms again. At 27, you should do very well.

Yeah the excess skin *sigh* dropping a lot of weight is a double edge sword. I am very happy and thrilled with the weight I have lost but am taken back with the transformation of my arms and legs (to name a few parts) When I was over 300 lbs I was like "I don't care about excess skin" now I am like "ewwwww" I really think the psychological evaluation should come AFTER you start taking off weight *wink* cause man it is sometimes hard to absorb

Well i think the arms are a little harder to tone than the legs. At least for me. I have found the most wonderful machine in the world... It's called the ArcTrainer. It has really shaped my legs and butt. I use the "weight loss" mode on a low level. I started out only being able to stay on for like 5 minutes and am now up to 45 minutes averaging 3+ miles. I do this 3 to 4 times a week along with some weight training. I have only lost 50 pounds since October but have gone from a size 22W to 16W. So I honestly believe without this machine I would not be getting the results by just losing weight alone.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
