Hi. I was banded on 7/9/08 and have lost 92 lbs, but I am stuck and am afraid of going the other direction. I was doing fine until I got the stomach flu in January and had Fluid taken out of the band. I got the Fluid back, but the surgeon wouldn't replace all of it and I can't go back until the end of April. I now don't have much restriction.

Don't get me wrong, I am very happy to have lost as much as I have. But, I have 70 lbs to go and am starting to lose my motivation. If anyone has dealt with this I would really appreciate your feedback. I am sure I just need a swift kick in the backside.

Have you ever heard of the 5 day pouch test? It's a good way to get things moving again and stop cravings. If you put 5 day pouch test into google, it should come up or if you put it in the search menu in the right top of this screen.

Surgical Weight Loss 5 Day Pouch Test

There, I made you a link!

Your loss has been fantastic, And I agree with OregonDaisey. Try the pouch test. I know how you feel although because I have also hit a very long plateu and it get's quite fustrating at times. Just hang in there I'm sure it will break soon. I mean it has to right?

Hi there! I was banded on July 2, my own personal independence day as I like to call it. I have done really well too, and am also on a really tough plateau. I have lost somewhere between 105 and 110 pounds (the scale keeps going back and forth between those amounts for the last month, and I had an adjustment hoping that would change it, but it hasn't). I just keep on keeping on, exercising and eating right, and just keep telling myself that its going to break at some point. Having lost so much so quickly, our bodies are most likely just trying to adjust to the amazing change we have put it through. Other than being able to commiserate with you about the current situation, I don't know how much help I can be. Just know you are not alone! Keep working, it will pass!
