Okay so something has been going on with me since my last fill. I had my surgery Oct. 8, 2008 and have lost 70 pounds! I really am proud of myself and have not had issues up until this point. Since my last fill - three weeks ago - I have really had issues eating. After I eat, I sometimes have to make myself throw up because the pressure is just horrible. Here is my worry - am I just over filled - or do you think slippage has occured? I just left a message for my doctor and have an appointment for a followup next week. I guess I am just letting my mind run a drift. My port flipped during the healing process, which is something that only happens in like 2% of people, but now I am thinking this is just bad luck. I am somewhat getting dicouraged which is not like me at all so I would really love to hear some feedback from all of you and get a concensus of what might be going on.

You definately could just be overfilled. Don't worry yourself until you see the doctor. If it doesn't happen everytime you eat it could also be what you ate. The band can be really funny sometimes. There are days I can eat alot with no problems and days I can barely eat anything. One day a food I just ate a week ago with no problems, may all of a sudden cause problems. Don't get yourself worked up until you see your doctor. More than likely everything is just fine. Let me know what happens.

It sounds like an overfill to me, but I am not a doctor.

I would not let this go until next week for resolution. I would call my doctor and insist that they see me as an emergency case either today or tomorrow. You should not continue on like this over the weekend.

In the mean time, stay away from solids inlight of the fact the some solids are causing you to vomit. Continous vomiting can cause a band to slip and you don't want that to happen.

I hope all will be well with you. Keep us posted.

I also don't think you should wait until next week to get this resolved, or at the minimum stick to foods that you can tolerate without throwing up until next week (if you can identify them, and this isn't totally random). Hopefully, mushy foods are going down okay.

Omg congrats on your fabulous weight loss girl!!!

I was filled last week, and my surgeon mentioned someone who had to make themselves throw up after eating most of the time. Turns out, they had a slip and it was easily repaired. I don't want to freak you out, but what you wrote was exactly how he described the woman's situation.

I hope it's just an overfill, but keep us posted!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
