Mandoman 0 Posted March 2, 2009 Hello Eveyone, I am getting banded on 3/5 at Scottsdale Bariatric by Dr. Robin Blackstone. I just had my last few tests done today and am ready to go. I began this process about 1 year ago. After going to classes, support groups and to see a psychologist, I was supposed to get banded last October. Unfortunately, when I had my stress test done preo-op, one of my arteries in my heart was found to be 70% blocked. I had a stent put in a few days later, am doing fine and now here I am again. It's good to know that it is finally happening, but at the same time it causes some nervousness. Any info anybody can give me about their experience before and right after their op would be great. silvers320 12 Posted March 2, 2009 Before- no real experiences, it had taken so long for me to get insurance approval that I think I wasn't sure it was actually happening. After- you will be in some pain for a day or two. Wearing a belt was tough for me for about a week. If you live along, put the things you will need where you can get them without bending. After that pretty smooth sailing. Good Luck
