haroldrussi 0 Posted February 25, 2009 I have been on NSIDS for years (all kinds for sure at different times but 800mg ibuprofen, 500mg naproxen, 2-3 aspirin all usually twice a day) since I started the liquid diet I have not taken any at all and have been getting overall muscle pains. I can exercise them out and work thru them but has anyone else had this problem. I have been not taking any of the NSIDA for better than two weeks now and today it tends to feel a little better than it has for a week. These were all for back pain thru the years. For now I am just releying in my lidocaine Patches for my back pain. I hope it is just my body getting used to no pain pills at all and adjusting to that. bearbandit 0 Posted February 25, 2009 Well since we have the band using an NSAID is a not a good thing to use. So I have been using Tramadol. This is not an NSAID and works really well for pain. Some people have side effects with this medication. Mine is talking...Ask your doc and do your own research. Good luck, drink lots of Water and make sure you stretch before and after every workout. HeatherO 7 Posted February 25, 2009 I would think that your body may be adjusting to lack of NSAIDS. It you were taking that much for that long, it was bound to have some impact on your body by stopping cold turkey. I hope the Lidocaine Patches work well for your back pain and you feel better soon. skep 9 Posted February 25, 2009 I'm in the same boat. I have bad knees but it's not my knees that are hurting, it's this weird muscle aches. I almost backed out of the surgery when the doctor said that I would never be able to take naproxen again. I figured that I would figure out something for the pain. I also figured when I dropped some weight, my knees would not hurt as badly and maybe I would go ahead and have the knee replacement I have been putting off.
