ariscus, Obama has broken most all of his promises. You and I know that, but those who worship him will never admit to it because where would they go from there? He has the answer to the world's problems as far as they can see. What a shame.

I'm curious. Are you deaf and dumb or just stupid?

You've posted a lot of the usual lies and misdemeanors perpetrated by the tea baggers, fox hounds and limbaugh lug head, but this is genuinely ridiculous.

The biggest shame going on this country is the derision, discontent and outright blind obedience to the right wing extremist rethoric of those who are unable to broaden their media horizons beyond the Rupurt Murdoch machinery. Buck up kiddos, do think hard about how your leaders have impossibly stalemated themselves into a corner and standing in the way of America's rebuilding. Any way you look at it, you lose unless you try to understand and work with your president and leaders in some kind of conciliatory manner.

We won the elections and until things turn, you're stuck with us. We disagreed with nearly everything Bush had to say but we worked with the idiot as best we could. We complained but we didn't refuse to do what we could to make this country safe and better for everyone. They sold us down the river and we kicked the bums out - why are you nut balls thinking that you're the majority who knows best. You had your chance and you blew it big time.

And unfortunately you continue to blow it with comments like yours above.

Obama's pledges are worthless

Obama “firm pledge” on taxes now a “preference”...another promise crushed by Obama:

Read the following excerpt from the Daily Beast’s LLoyd Grove:

Remember President Obama’s supposedly inviolable pledge—repeatedly uttered during the 2008 campaign and at countless town meetings since the inauguration—that he would never raise taxes on middle-class citizens who earn $250,000 a year or less?

This morning at a Manhattan Breakfast sponsored by Thomson Reuters, White House Budget Director Peter Orszag threw that pledge out the window. Instead, he described Obama’s “read my lips, no new taxes” pledge as a “stance” and a “preference” that is subject to study by the president’s newly formed bipartisan Commission on Fiscal Responsibility.

“The president has been very clear about what he prefers,” Orszag said under questioning from Thomson Reuters’ Chrystia Freeland. “That was his stance during the campaign, and he still believes that’s the right course forward. But he has also been very clear that we shall let the commission go do its work.”

Folks, this is not funny anymore, all of Obama's promises was a big fat Lie.

Mr. President you don't get to decide when people have "made engouh money".

He should have stuck with the TelePrompter. The President doesn’t get to decide when people have “made enough money.” In fact, as the radio host notes, that’s a statist point of view. Furthermore, the responsibility of an entrepreneur isn’t to “grow our economy,” core or otherwise. It’s to grow his own economy. In a properly regulated capitalist system, the natural tension of self-interests create economic growth through innovation and efficient use of capital and resources

Obama's White house, "Most Transparent Administration in History"...what a joke!

gibs.jpgFrom Politico's report on reporters' frustration with White House secrecy:

A few days later, Gibbs said at one of his briefings, “This is the most transparent administration in the history of our country.”

Peals of laughter broke out in the briefing room.

That happened on April 19. While we in this blog has been talking about this for more than a year..Well, at least our stupid media is catching on!

Obama's Hypocracy Has No End!

While pretending to be fighting against the Wall Street, Obama has received millions form the financial institutions and now refuses to give some of it back...who is greedy now, Mr. President??

and now we learn:

While Goldman Sachs' lawyers negotiated with the Securities and Exchange Commission over potentially explosive civil fraud charges, Goldman's chief executive visited the White House
at least four times.

and dont forget that Obama’s former White House counsel,

Gregory Craig, is now helping Goldman Sachs. I thought Obama signed a law that his employees will not be lobbying after leaving is White House.

Audacity of Hypocrisy !!

White House Caught Altering Stimulus Baseline Projection by 7 Million Jobs

The number of jobs in the U.S. is currently 129.7 million. So to justify the Administration’s current claim of 2.8 million jobs “created or saved” by stimulus, they need to also claim that without that stimulus there would be only 126.9 million jobs. That’s exactly what they do, displayed as the “baseline projection” level in the graphic below from an April 14, 2010 report:

See complete story here.

Obama is so diconnected with America

and Since Mr. Obama took office, 397 soldiers have died in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. Another 151 have died in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Bush at least gave up on golf in solidarity with victims family, Obama has no plan to do so.

Latest Flip Flop By Obama - Oil drilling

In June 2008, then-senator Obama told reporters in Jacksonville, Florida:

When I'm president, I intend to keep in place the moratorium here in Florida and around the country that prevents oil companies from drilling off Florida's coasts. That's how we can protect our coastline and still make the investments that will reduce our dependence on foreign oil and bring down gas prices for good.

Today, the "Obama administration is proposing to open vast expanses of Water along the Atlantic coastline, the eastern Gulf of Mexico and the north coast of Alaska to oil and natural gas drilling, much of it for the first time," including off the coast of Jacksonville, where Obama offered that statement.

Just Amazing!!! what happened to all your promises ? How can public trusts his words next time around?

The Complete List of Obama's Broken Promises

HEALTH CARE MANDATES

STATEMENT: “We've got a philosophical difference, which we've debated repeatedly, and that is that Senator Clinton believes the only way to achieve universal health care is to force everybody to purchase it. And my belief is, the reason that people don't have it is not because they don't want it but because they can't afford it.” Barack Obama, speaking at a Democratic presidential debate, February 21, 2008.

EXPIRATION DATE: On March 23, 2010, Obama signed the individual mandate into law.

HEALTH CARE NEGOTIATIONS ON C-SPAN

STATEMENT: “These negotiations will be on C-SPAN, and so the public will be part of the conversation and will see the decisions that are being made.” January 20, 2008, and seven other times.

EXPIRATION DATE: Throughout the summer, fall, and winter of 2009 and 2010; when John McCain asked about it during the health care summit February 26, Obama dismissed the issue by declaring, “the campaign is over, John.”

RAISING TAXES

STATEMENT: “No family making less than $250,000 will see any form of tax increase.” (multiple times on the campaign trail)

EXPIRATION DATE: Broken multiple times, including the raised taxes on tobacco, a new tax on indoor tanning salons, but most prominently on February 11, 2010: “President Barack Obama said he is “agnostic” about raising taxes on households making less than $250,000 as part of a broad effort to rein in the budget deficit.”

RECESS APPOINTMENTS

STATEMENT: Then-Senator Obama declared that a recess appointment is “damaged goods” and has “less credibility” than a normal appointment. August 25, 2005.

EXPIRATION DATE: March 27, 2010: “If, in the interest of scoring political points, Republicans in the Senate refuse to exercise that responsibility, I must act in the interest of the American people and exercise my authority to fill these positions on an interim basis.”

Fact checking Obama's State Of The Union Address..

Actually the head line should have said, "Analyzing Obama's Lies to the country"

We have known from the start that Obama has love affair with exaggerations!!! but we are glad to see that, finally, AP is fact checking Obama's claims:

OBAMA: "Because of the steps we took, there are about 2 million Americans working right now who would otherwise be unemployed. ... And we are on track to add another one and a half million jobs to this total by the end of the year."

THE FACTS: The success of the Obama-pushed economic stimulus that Congress approved early last year has been an ongoing point of contention. In December, the administration reported that recipients of direct assistance from the government created or saved about 650,000 jobs. The number was based on self-reporting by recipients and some of the calculations were shown to be in error.

OBAMA: He called for action by the White House and Congress "to do our work openly, and to give our people the government they deserve."

THE FACTS: Obama skipped past a broken promise from his campaign — to have the negotiations for health care legislation broadcast on C-SPAN "so that people can see who is making arguments on behalf of their constituents, and who are making arguments on behalf of the drug companies or the insurance companies."

But there are more whoppers that AP did not cover, you can read more of them here.

Obama Hires Campaign Manager To Help Him With Economy!

We are not kidding!

In the wake of bad economical data and loosing Massachusetts, Obama decides to hire his campaign manager! Not a new economic team. Not a new chief of staff. Not even a new national security staff to replace the gang that dropped the ball on the Christmas Day bomber. No, with the Obami, it is never about substance or getting the policy right. It’s not about governance. It is about the perpetual campaign. So the campaign manager gets the emergency call.

Here is the news link:

Daivd Plouffe, the man who managed President Barack Obama’s campaign, will be taking on an expanded role as an outside adviser to the White House, according to sources familiar with the plan, a move that comes just days after a stunning defeat for Democrats in a Massachusetts Senate special election.

PROMISES, PROMISES: Many Obama pledges unkept

obama-hype.jpg

We have been saying this for months now...but we are glad to see major media reporting on Obama's promises:

During his two-year campaign, Obama thrilled massive crowds with soaring speeches, often railing against an Iraq war that now is seldom mentioned. His presidential comments now are often sober updates on issues like terrorism and the economy, a top priority now that emerged as a major issue only in the campaign's final weeks.

Obama's campaign ambition has been diluted with a pragmatism that has been the hallmark of Year One -
without much of the progress he had hoped.

A look at some of the promises:

What a waste of a year!!! People were fooled in voting for him and they will pay the price for votingthe most inexperienced president we've ever had! What a shame!

Obama should call Senator to Resign! Let's be consistent .

o.jpg

In light of President Obama's decision to forgive Harry Reid's remarks about Obama's skin color and lack of a "Negro dialect," check out what Obama said about Trent Lott in 2002:

Illinois Senator Barack Obama (D-13th), who hosted WVON's Cliff Kelley Show, challenged the Republican Party to repudiate Lott's remarks and to call for his resignation as senate leader.

"It seems to be that we can forgive a 100-year-old senator for some of the indiscretion of his youth, but, what is more difficult to forgive is the current president of the U.S. Senate (Lott) suggesting we had been better off if we had followed a segregationist path in this country after all of the battles and fights for civil rights and all the work that we still have to do," said Obama.

He said: "
The Republican Party itself has to drive out Trent Lott
. If they have to stand for something, they have to stand up and say this is not the person we want representing our party."

--From the December 12, 2002 issue of the Chicago Defender.

Well said, BJean. Did you see the hilarious skit on the Daily Show where they showed that idiot beck, who some on here listen to, trying to tie everything Obama did to nazi Germany? beck tried to say the bank bailout was like the round up of Jews. The guy said "Are you f***ing kidding me? They came to kill the Jews. They were offering the banks $785 billion dollars".

Does anyone with an IQ in the triple digits listen to the ramblings of beck? He just doesn't make any sense.

And then there are those on the right, obviously frustrated with Obama's successes, trying to invent controversy. They ask:

Is the oil spill Obama's Katrina? Ah, no. Duh!

Is it really a good idea for the republicans to remind us of bush's failures?

Now, what I've done throughout this campaign is to propose a net spending cut," Mr. Obama promised during the third presidential debate on Oct. 15, 2008. He made the same promise about a "net spending cut" again during the second presidential debate.

Despite these talking points, Mr. Obama plans to increase the debt by at least $9.1 trillion over the next decade. In that period of time, Mr. Obama's programs will increase federal spending by $400 billion to $500 billion per year over what his predecessor, President George W. Bush, planned. Far from keeping his promise, this is the largest peacetime increase ever in government spending. Washington times

"I can make a firm pledge: No family making less than $250,000 will see any form of tax increase - not your income taxes, not your payroll taxes, not your capital-gains taxes, not any of your taxes. And my opponent can't make that pledge, and here is why: For the first time in American history, John McCain wants to tax your health care benefits," Mr. Obama said on Sept. 12, 2008. The $250,000 protection against tax increases was promised dozens of times during the campaign.

Mr. Obama first broke this promise last January with an increase in cigarette taxes. Since then, he has compounded the damage. Last week, for example, the president announced an agreement to impose a 40 percent tax on higher-quality health insurance plans. Washington times

"We are going to ban all earmarks - the process by which individual members insert pet projects without review," Mr. Obama promised Jan. 6, 2008. Similar promises were made during the presidential debates.

Putting aside that the $787 billion stimulus package was one giant earmark, Mr. Obama has signed multiple bills stuffed with earmarks, most recently the defense bill that he signed last month. That single bill alone had 1,720 pet projects totaling $4.2 billion. Washington times

"I respect what the Clintons tried to do in 1993 in moving health reform forward, but they made one really big mistake, and that is, they took all their people and all their experts and put them into a room, and then they closed the door," Mr. Obama said in November 2008. "We will work on this process publicly, it will be on C-SPAN, it will be streaming over the net." Mr. Obama repeated this promise at least eight times during his presidential campaign.

Contrary to his vow, government health care negotiations are so secret that most top Democrats can't even see what's going on - which brings up another broken promise: that legislation would be posted online for five days before the president signed it. Mr. Obama broke that promise because the more Americans know about his agenda, the more they oppose it. Transparency makes it difficult for Democrats to ram through their unpopular big-government programs. Washington times

STATEMENT: “We’ve got a philosophical difference, which we’ve debated repeatedly, and that is that Senator Clinton believes the only way to achieve universal health care is to force everybody to purchase it. And my belief is, the reason that people don’t have it is not because they don’t want it but because they can’t afford it.” Barack Obama, speaking at a Democratic presidential debate, February 21, 2008.

BORDER SECURITY

STATEMENT: “We need tougher border security, and a renewed focus on busting up gangs and traffickers crossing our border. . . . That begins at home, with comprehensive immigration reform. MILITARY TRIBUNALS

STATEMENT: “Somebody like Khalid Sheik Mohammad is gonna get basically, a full military trial with all the bells and whistles.” September 27, 2006

EXPIRATION DATE: Ongoing. “President Obama is planning to insert himself into the debate about where to try the accused mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, three administration officials said Thursday, signaling a recognition that the administration had mishandled the process and triggered a political backlash. Obama initially had asked Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. to choose the site of the trial in an effort to maintain an independent Justice Department. But the White House has been taken aback by the intense criticism from political opponents and local officials of Holder’s decision to try Khalid Sheik Mohammed in a civilian courtroom in New York.”

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
