kristilaw 0 Posted February 24, 2009 Do you eat them, just put them to the side, dip into them if necessary for a snack? ? I am a little confused about what to do with the calories you burn?? (I journal my food and am at -60 calories for the day)
MacMadame 81 Posted February 24, 2009 I don't do anything with them. My program allows for a certain number of calories and assumes a certain amount of exercise. Therefore, the calories burned by exercise are not "extra" but are built into the program. Also, it's hard to know how many calories you've burned. Most online calculators and the readouts at the gym vary wildly and are often too high. So it's a bit risky to assume you can eat an extra 350 calories because that's what the stationary bike said you burned.
Jachut 487 Posted February 24, 2009 I dont do anything with them either. I mean technically I guess I lost weight and maintain weight eating a fair few calories (about 1800) but I dont add up what I burn exercising and then eat that number of calories on purpose, I dont exercise to earn treats or anything. I do it becuase its part of a healthy lifestyle and I enjoy it and it keeps me thin and fit.
