Thank you, I will. Is that when I will get to see a nutritionist? Or is that by request only? Do you know how they do that there? I havent met her yet.

Well it seems like things have really changed since these posts were made!

I just completed my fourth and last Ins required weigh in with TR! I have seen the nutritionalist and the PA every time and will be meeting the surgeon the week of surgery (Sept 27).

I don't know about the horribly long wait times as my appts are always at 8am!

I hope everyone is going great!

Would love some feedback from veteran bandsters :)

The last few times I have been in there, there was no wait at all.

I am scheduled for Lap Band surgery on November 20th through True Results in Scottsdale with Dr. Nrmul. All of my appointments were quick and smooth. I rarely waited long, often they would give me something or other to fill out and I would barely have time to rush through it and they were calling me back. I think the longest I waited was at my first appointment, and that was fifteen minutes, at the most. So far, I have just seen P.A.s and N.P.s but everyone has been efficient friendly and so sweet. I meet Dr. Nirmul on the 19th, the day before my surgery. My experience from start to now has been smooth, easy, dare I say nearly effortless. True Results rocks. :)

I seen Dr. Nirmul on Tuesday for my surgery on Nov 8!

He requested I have cardiac clearance before surgery so you might want to make sure your has been done or you don't need it especially having the meeting only the day before surgery! I lucked out and was able to find a cardiologist that was able to see me stat and I got my clearance!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
