lkylberg 0 Posted February 20, 2009 Am I to anxious....I really want to get this thing going...okay, I thought one of the reasons that Dr's do this is to make money....as you can probably tell I'm just a tad bit frustrated. My beef-I went to a "seminar" if that's what you could call it on Tuesday, supposed to start at 10:00 the office was so busy with regular fill patients that we didn't get started with the "seminar" until after 10:30, a few minute talk by the skinny food lady...then the surgeon, WOW - he blew right through his part, then the head doc, his I liked. Then vitals....long story short I didn't see the surgeon until after 3:00 and I had not eaten all day, we bothed agreed on the surgery at 3:30 go to the front desk to set an appt...fill people are paying, then talk to the skinny food lady again, almost 4:00, still nothing to eat, finally pay the co-pays (did I mention) this was a free seminar?? Set a date, they said we will call you to confirm....HAVEN'T HEARD A WORD YET!!! Is this normal. I am also self pay.
YngGram 73 Posted February 20, 2009 I'm not self pay but this is how it went. Seminar on 11/3 evening about 2 hours in a classroom, on time. Next week consult with surgeron, was weighed and discussed questions, the procedure, and upcoming tests needed and turned in the med history packet. Waited for results from tests. Had a nutrional eval and paperwork submittet to insurance. Approval on 1/23 then had a 4 hour nutrion class to cover what to expect in hosptial, pre-op diet, food after surgery and q & a. My date is 3/9 so I have pre admission blood work and such this Monday and will start 2 week pre op diet.
