Rivieramaya05 0 Posted February 19, 2009 I was doing an ab workout today on a pilates ball and felt a sharp pain when I did a sit up. The first thing I thought was " I hope that wasn't a anchor coming loose. (I have a realize band) Anyways, I'm still sore but not really hurting. I assume I'm sore because it's a new workout and those muscles aren't used to being used. Would I be able to feel or tell if my port flipped? I would think I would be in more pain. karen_karen 0 Posted February 19, 2009 i dont know if you would be able to tell. right now im going through the process of having surgery for a flipped port and i never knew it til my doctor tried to give me a fill twice once with an ultrasound machine and the other time with pictures of my xray to help him guide the needle and that didnt help. so now im due for surgery on tuesday to have my port reposition. only way to find out is when you go for your next fill and the doctor cant get to your port. and i can say its painful when he tries and tries my stomach still looks like a pin cushing and the last time he tried was a month ago. lol. the reasoning that doctor said that my stiches came out was because i do alot of excerise and when you get smaller it can break the stitches. mytrybe 0 Posted February 20, 2009 My band flipped and I had to have it turned over one month after the original surg. I had no idea it was flipped until I went in for my surgical check up....
TQUAD64 9 Posted February 20, 2009 I am unaware of people being able to physically know or feelwhen their port flips. I am aware of people finding out the port flipped, when they go to their doctor for a fill. You might know more when you have your next fill. If the doctor has trouble inserting the needle into the port, then there might be a problem. Good luck!
