Ok!

I got a big thing of Margarita Mix, a big thing of Pina Colada mix (slurp), and a small thing of Zing Zang's bloody mary mix.. this is a semi-regional thing, if you like bloody marys, this is the best mix evah.

Russ probably thinks I up and turned into an alcoholic.

I have two bags of sour mix, and a bigger can of pineapple juice. It looks like I am an alcoholic too, instead of carrying it up to the third floor I have it at work. I have it in the back but people still see it when they get nosy!!

Ok, time to get serious about organizing... this time next week we'll be watching the sunset on the deck w/all that booze in our hands (well, except for Judy, who'll have the babe in her hands instead...)

I'm going to send out an e-mail so we can make sure that we're all on the same page re: arrivals/pickups/etc + shopping, timing getting there, etc. & so forth... so be on the lookout for it!

Couple of cans of lime juice will make great margies too...that and ice and lime!

I did not get word on Jen...what happened...I thought she was booked (didn't she post the schedule?).

Yeah! Can't wait to see the girls!

Jane - You actually would be doing me a big favor if you'd bring your scissors & razor to give me a little haircut. My hairdresser is on vacation for 3 weeks. I could use some highlights too (the pull-thru cap method)! However, I will NOT consent unless you allow me to pay you your usual fees (still a huge bargain)!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
