A good sports bra for big breasts

Recommended Posts

Okay, ladies...I need HELP.

I have large breasts, and at Lane Bryant I'm a 42E.

I have bought several bras to find a good one and haven't yet. (That Couch to 5K program is really paining me sometimes.)

I was thinking of researching the ones that the ladies on the Biggest Loser wear, but I checked and they're expensive.

Before buying one, I'd like to get feedback...and suggestions on a good bra? Has anyone tried the ENELL?

Hi ...I have big boobs too when I run I wear a tight minimizer bra and a tight sports bra over it... No movement at all and very comfortable to me..

Oh oh, someone on the forums a while back told me about some sports bra they swore by.. had to order it online because I think it came from the UK?? Anyway, it is THE BEST. No jostling, and it is extremely comfortable.

When I get home from work I'll find out the info and come back and post it.

Hah, after my post I googled Enell--that sounded familiar.

That's it! That's the one someone on forums recommended, and now I definitely recommend.

The sizing is weight loss friendly I have found too. I bought mine to fit me when I was a 46 DD, and I'm now a 38 D (well back to DD with pregnancy, but before pregnancy!) and it still fits and works great.

That's one thing I was worried about! But thanks! If I know it will stay with me a while on the weight loss, I'll invest.

I don't really know how to define a "good" sports bra, but if you ladies send me the pictures, I might have some recommendations.

Well plain, they're usually VERY sexy. Nothing slutty like lace or nipple show involved, much more classy. Think 4 hook back, inch thick straps, big fat seams over the cups, all in a fetching shade of beige.

I know you're drooling...

Thanks for ruining the mental image for me, Jac!

Yeah, my husband calls it my uniboob bra. Sports bras have the exact opposite of sex appeal :tt2:

Well, Enell does give me the uniboob. That's what works for me and sports bras!

I wouldn't wear it in public, I just use it for working out.

I can do the uni if it really doesn't hinder workout...

Can't really ask this nicely - what about sweat factor? Do the girls get sticky and gross? What about the fabric?

Uhm.. not sure about sticky and gross.. I think all of me is sticky and gross after working out, never paid special attention to the ladies to check out their gross factor. But I also shower after working out????

The fabric of mine is double ply satin.. and it does have a million eyelets going up the front, so it is easy to take off.

Okay..I know working out = sticky and gross, everywhere. :sneaky:

But, I guess I'm thinking of the bras I wear now, which are NOT made for me at all. I practically have to peel it off and I hate them.

If I'm going to hate something that much more expensive, I'll stick to the sucky ones I have now.

But, I don't think I'll get that with the Enell...sounds like you're happy with it, so I'm willing to give it a shot....

Thank you.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
