I had my surgery on 11-11-08, I have lost 30 pounds. I have had 3 fills for a total of 4cc's in my 10cc band. I am starting to get a little frustrated by my own food choices. Best of luck to you.

Wow you both sound like you are doing well. Remember its about 10 pounds a month and you are both at about that. So good job.

Looks as though your journey has been interupted. Hope all goes well for you

I was banded on November 4th. I just had my 3rd fill on Monday (2/23). As of this morning ( I only weigh in once a week ), I've lost 42 lbs. This last fill seems to have given me the right restriction, but I've pb'ed 3 times since. I can't eat wraps anymore and no cutlet type meats :-(. Oh well...it's just trial and error. I work out at the Y at least 4 times a week with my husband. He loves the energy I have now. Even my 6 year old compliments me. I absolutely love the compliments. On November 4th, I weighed 269, now I'm 227. I now weigh less than I have in 10 years!!! Good bye Lane Bryant!!!

I had surgery 11/11/08 and I'm done almost 50 lbs! The first 2 months were very easy and the last month or so has been more of a struggle with food choices & amount of food.I do have restriction because if I eat to fast I will PB.But other times I amaze myself of how much I can eat? I see the surgeon in 2 weeks so I'll see then what she recommend's.I have a total of 4 cc's.Best luck to everyone!!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
