Post Op day 1 question

Pleased you are feeling better, seems to be the way each day. Am going for long walks each day to help the gas. Does anyone have some reflux , not actual vomiting, just bile returning?

I've been doing a lot of walking as well, seems to help.

No , the gas is pumped in when operated on so all the organs can be accessed, as they have to lift the liver up to get the lapband in. That's why most doctors put you on a Optifast diet. It also helps you prepare for the liquid phase, which i am in now , my op was Feb 17

The first few days I could barely manage to pass gass and now, I haven't stopped :-) I am still a little bloated and gassy!

Congratulations! I was just banded Friday, 2/13/09. Gas X strips helps GREATLY and walking around. Also, heating pad while laying down on back and shoulders. Just keep moving around and follow doctor's orders!
