Guest Seanymoss Posted August 13, 2005 Hi Everyone, I was banded on Aug, 09 by Dr ortiz in Mexico and I am new to this fourm. I am having severe gas pains and I was wondering if other people had the same thing happen to them and how long it lasted? and what people did to help the problem. giveyouthemoon 4 Posted August 13, 2005 GasX and LOTS OF IT. Take it as often as you think of it. Don't worry about exceeding the dose on the label. When you have laparoscopic surgery they blow you up with gas to give room to move stuff around and that all gets trapped in there. Walking as much as possible also really helps move things along. Also don't be shy and modest and hold it in....you HAVE to get that out so let 'er rip!! Seriously, get up and walk even if just around your living room. You don't want that gas to settle in your shoulder where it HURTS like hell. Keep walking and keep getting in as much GasX as possible. This will pass (pun intended). La_madam 20 Posted August 13, 2005 I was banded by Dr. Ortiz also..I had gas pains. Walking is the best medicine. Walk as much as you can. Lying down doing nothing makes it worse.
