I have been wanted to get the Lap band but just dont know where to start everyone keeps telling me to go to a sminar so I did at manatee memorial in bradenton that didnt get me anywhere but still looking for the right doctor to perform the surgury. I live in North Port FL and wanted to get the surgury some where near by do any of you know of any great lap band surgons in sarasota or bradent fl? how does this work after I do find a doctor is there weight that has to come off before I get the surgury?? my bmi is 54 and i weight 334 lbs Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
MacMadame 81 Posted February 18, 2009 Hi Ashley- I actually think it works better if you do some research so that when you go to the seminar, you can judge what the surgeon is saying and know if this is a good place to get banded. Also, I sent all the surgeons I was thinking of using a questionnaire so I wouldn't waste my time going to the seminars of the obvious non-candidates.
