Does milk separate in your pouch?

Recommended Posts

This is a little graphic so don't read on if you are eating or anything.

I have this weird thing, in the morning my band is very tight - if I try to drink anything with milk in it like tea of coffee the milk seems to separate and I pd the drink but it's no longer mixed up.:rose:

Clearish liquid comes up and so does the milk in little lumps - this is quite quick and obviously something I know may happen so don't stray from my unmilked drinks too soon but a couple of days ago I bought a skinny latte when I was in my safe time and had the same thing but did not realise straight away only when I was drinking and realised that I had something coming up which turned out to be a lump of solid milk!!!:rose: I will now have milk much later so I am more safe but wondered if anyone else out there has similar happen to them as I have not seen any posts about it just the more generic pd experiences.

I'm not a doctor so take this with a grain of salt: what I was told at one point (after freaking out about throwing up solids after drinking liquids) is that the chunks you throw up are basically just the result of the milk being curdled by your stomach acid.

Are you throwing up sometimes when you're drinking things without milk or is it only milk that makes you throw up? If the latter, you may want to check with your doctor and find out if something else is up.

I have been having this problem lately, and just threw up chunks today. It has happened several times now but not for about a month. I think mine might be stress related. First my father passed away and that was the first time it happened. Now this week my DH just found out he is being laid off. So I guess I just wanted to know from the OP if this stops, or if it is something I will struggle with for a while?
