glamischick 0 Posted February 12, 2009 so why can’t I lose any more weight? Been stuck on the same number for about 2 weeks now. I work out every other day anywhere from 25-45 minutes. I drink a low-card slim fast shake for Breakfast and lunch and for dinner I try to have a good healthy one. I’m getting so frustrated and it makes want to give up. I already lost 20 lbs in 2 months. But been stuck on 20 for a while now. This week I took it up a notch and started to work out twice in one day everyday and lift weights every other day. Can anyone help me???? P.S. I don’t have the lap band yet!

Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted February 13, 2009 It's normal to go on a plateau. I went on one for 4 months then started losing again. Sometimes your body just wants to get used to the new weight before it decides it will let go of some more.
MacMadame 81 Posted February 13, 2009 This week I took it up a notch and started to work out twice in one day everyday and lift weights every other day. It will take a while before you see that on the scale though. It has something to do with how glycogen is stored in the muscles.
kossde 6 Posted February 15, 2009 I have a 2 week plateau every month. For me, it's Water weight. I had once, right after I had my third (and most recent) fill. It lasted about a month. You'll be fine. Two weeks, three weeks, even a month is really nothing to worry about. Just keep exercising and following doctors orders.
jillrenee15 0 Posted February 21, 2009 Did you consider you may only be getting about 800 calories? Slim fasts are what 150-200? Plus dinner of maybe 400-500? Try increasing your calories a little. Have another 100-200 calorie snack during your day to get yourself going again. A couple of slices of turkey breast and a low fat cheese stick. Some tuna salad and a few crackers. Something with protein!!!!!
