Just starting the weightloss journey!

I just started the process of the Lap Band. I have an appt. with a surgeon in two weeks. Im curious to know what steps Im going to have to take and what to expect out of insurance companies. Or should i say what they expect... I currently have BCBS. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Congrats on starting the journey. I started in July08 I'm getting close but still don't quite have a surgery date yet. I have Blue Cross of California however they are all a little different in what they require from you. You can see my dated list below of all the requirements my insurance needed from me.

Since every insurance is different their requirements vary too. Contact your insurance company to find out what steps you need to take.
