This might sound silly but...

Ok I know this might seem like something silly to be worried about but here we go, I love my breast and they're one my better features and the thing I was wondering is, for the ladies who have had surgery have they gotten smaller? and if so was it by alot? Again I know it's probaly silly but it's just something I've been wondering about.

I went down 5 bra sizes and one cup size. I think alot depends on the overall amount you need to lose. I always said ill just be happy when my boobs stick out further then my stomach! Thank god they now do.

I went from a 44DD to a 36DD. I find a great bra is crutial! Spend the money. My favorite is the Victoria's Secret, "very sexy bra". it has little pillows in the bottom of the cup that lift my "sagginess" right up! LOL. I would love to have PS, but not sure its in my budget any time soon, so I spent the $$ on some good bras. They run about $60-80 each, but if you catch them on end of season sales, you can get them for $15 or so. Also, you can find them on ebay. I've got another one coming my way now.

OMG....aren't those the best bras EVER!

I've gone from a 40DD to a 36DD....as long as I'm wearing a good bra, my boobs still look pretty fantastic, if I do say so myself......

YES.....invest in a good bra and I concer the the Very Sexy Push Up bra is miracle worker!!

It's not silly. It's a legitimate concern.

I have lost most of my breast tissue. I started off as a 44 H. 104 pounds later I'm a 36 D. If I'm not wearing a bra, I'm pretty much flat chested. I love not having such big breasts anymore. It was such a hindrance. I couldn't fold my arms, I couldn't sit close to a table. It just was a constant bother. Now I feel normal. I don't mind the deflated breast-thing because a bra fixes the problem enough for me.

I was looking at the Victoria's Secret website and there are so many choices in the Very Sexy bra category. Is there a specific one you recommend?

I lost my boobies. Went from a 40DD to a 36C. But I don't regret it, for a MINUTE! Love my deflated boobies with the good bra!

I wish I could send you a link, but I'm at work, and they have that site blocked. The one I like is the Very Sexy Push up. It will describe it with "pillows or padding or something like that. The padding is in the bottom of the cup. If you can't find it, let me know I will send the link to you this evening

God, I hope they get smaller because they are in the D range now. But as of yet, I am almost 40 pounds down, since my surgery three months ago and they are not decreasing in size.

I am losing inches every where else but not in my breasts.

I've definitely lost a cup size - from a D to a C.

I decided not to worry about it, because I think they still look damned fine! - or maybe they just stand out more now that my giant stomach isn't there to compete.

I didn't lose mine. I went from a 40D to a 36DD. I think it is a matter of how much breast tissue as opposed to fat you carry in your breasts. I also still seem to have a relatively nice shape as well even if they don't look the same at 33 as they do at 18.

If I remember correctly, you are very young. I think that might help as far as shape is concerned. Also, thinner and with a good bra . . . you are going to look great regardless of how they are hanging.

Hello!

I am the same weight you were pre-op and have the same size breasts you did (wonderful words...WERE and DID hey!).

I have the same goal weight as you too.

I'm just wondering...I've had to kids that I nursed for a year each. My breasts are very large and heavy and have taken a beating over the past few years. Let's just say they're hanging pretty low! I am flat chested when I lay down LOL!

When I loss the weight you have (I'm scheduled in with dr.ortiz for April) will they be saggy and baggy?

Just wondering!

Danielle

Ummm.. mine hung a little low too, but a push up bra with a little foam fixes everything. I also had two girls who nursed, so I understand, completely. Everyone is different... but mine are not really that bad. A bra fixes any sag you have...

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
