beccalynn 0 Posted February 7, 2009 Hi there, I have my first orientation with Fremont Kaiser on Sunday. Up til now I have been researching gastric bypass, but am liking the idea of lap band a lot better since it is less invasive. I am hoping that everything will go through since I am 100lbs overweight but do not have any issues (ie diabetes or high blood pressure). Like most of you my weight has been a lifetime battle, and I am looking forward to finally have something to help me fight that battle. So any advice will be great. MissBS 3 Posted February 7, 2009 Hi beccalynn and welcome. You will love this site. My advice would be to keep coming here, read lots, and ask any questions that you have. The people on here are very nice and helpful. I spent a lot of time here before my sugery and by the time I was wheeled into the operating room, I was not even nervous. I did my research and knew the facts about the band, but this is where I got the answers to many of my questions - from the people who had been there and done that. It is so nice to talk to people who know exactly what you have been through, what you are going through, and what's to come. I have made some very good friends here. Good luck to you!!!
