msdollaz 0 Posted February 6, 2009 Hello, Well, I have made my decision. Actually, I made my decision last year, my husband finally made his decision to support me in getting the lapband. We went to the orientation several months ago and got all the info - he didn't like the wait time to have a baby, but financially cannot afford a child right now. I have an appointment with the surgeon I selected, Dr. Malcolm Robinson at Brigham and Women's hospital on March 17th. That same day I also meet with the nutritionist. Can someone tell me what to expect from this meeting? My insurance does not require 6 months of dieting. I'm hoping I can get the surgery soon! Love reading these forums! sisterc 0 Posted February 6, 2009 Hello I went to B.I. Hospital in Boston. You will talk with the doctor for about 15 minutes and he will explain the procedure again and ask if you have any questions or concerns. That is the time write down anything you may want to ask or didn't ask in the open forum. The nutritionist appointment lasted 30 minutes for me. She went over the program and the first four weeks what to expect and what to eat and shared valuable information. Also go over Vitamins with you and just a wealth of information. Congrats on the new you!
