For V-Day, we're seeing that movie. Total chick flick and I don't feel guilty for dragging him there.

I liked the book - it helped me end a very bad 6 year relationship.

The book that helped my relationship the most was "Where the Wild Things Are". Sure, it's a little simplistic on the first read, but on closer inspection, it's very deep. I also highly recommend anything by Seuss, but especially "Green eggs and Ham"

Deep, you don't even realize how deep Where the Wild Things Are is. I read the book in the mid 80's to late 80's to my daughter. Fast forward to 96. We get a Westie, I come up with the name Mischief. Fast forward 6 or more years, and I pick up Where the Wild Things Are. I thumb through. Max's dog is a Westie, well isn't that cute. SIT DOWN FOR THE REST OF THIS.........

MAX WAS SENT TO HIS ROOM FOR MAKING MISCHIEF.

OMG, OMG, what are the chances of a Westie and the word mischief being in the same book. That book is not only deep, IT CHANGES YOUR LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Seuss is my all time favorite author. I love reading his books out loud. He was pure genius.

My DD used to love me to read Dr. Suess to her, until she discovered the poetry of Shel Silverstein---then she was addicted to his books---she now reads them to her DD!!

Plain you surprised me though, none of the Dr. Suess we read had a Forum section.......

Dear Seuss,

I never expected this to happen to me. I was hitchhiking in the mountains when a carload of cheerleaders stopped and asked if I needed a ride...

Seuss is overrated. It's easy to rhyme when one simply makes up words. I tried that and got a C in freshman English.

I will not do it in a car,

I will not do it near and far,

I will not do it, firm I am.

I will not have blue balls and Pam

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
