What a fabulous achievement! And keep shopping at THAT store!!

I join the line of women who will never wear a size 6 (I NEVER wore it in my youth, so why think it'll happen when Im in my 50's), but 10's are possible. That's my goal - size 10's and a top that isn't a large or bigger!

You guys...you can do it...you WILL succeed!!! If I can do it...anyone can. Keep a positive attitude and keep working hard...it's so worth it.

lol, not everyone is going to be a size 6, my hips are too wide for one thing, but Im happy just to be getting down there and maybe in a size 8 or 10. I think size 8 has been the smallest Iv ever been in, even when I got down to 111 on Atkins. Im also 5 7. I cant ever ever remember being in a size 6, not even in Junior High school when I was underweight.

We are still happy that you are so happy to be in a size 6 and can enjoy that you got into such a tiny size.

Oh believe me...I'm sure I'm not a true "6"...my jeans are 8's and some 10s. I started out this journey in a size 22/24 pants (tight at that) and a 2x and some 3x tops. I am just so much in love with my new life. I never knew that I could be so happy with myself. It truly is wonderful. I'm serious...if I can do it, anyone can. Great job to everyone!!!!

WTG mumof2boys! Isn't that a wonderful feeling????

I am in a size 8 right now, down from a size 18...the 8's are getting a little loose but still fit OK. I started in a size 2X(some 3X) tops and am wearing a very loose size L tops right now. But I have vowed not to buy any more clothes until I reach goal. I am saving my money for that day--when I reach goal I will reward myself with a huge a shopping spree!

Yes, it does feel awesome. Good for you...you are doing great. Here's the latest picture of me...it's a little crazy looking but my jeans are an 8 and the sweater is a Small (I know it's got to be a BIG small) but hell...I'll take it. lol

Thanks...I appreciate it. I'm a little nervous right now because I just faxed my paperwork for my loan for my upcoming plastic surgery. YIKES. The pain and the money....oh well, it will all be worth it.

WOW! I haven't been a size six since I was in Junior High!!!! That would be awesome.

I can't wait until my surgery gets approved! I'd be over the moon to be a size 10!

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
