I am just starting to feel better after surgery (I had a hiatal hernia repair as well as the Lap Band), and ready to embark on my new lifestyle! My starting weight was 275 and I have already lost a few pounds. I know that I will have questions along the way so I am so glad to have found this site! Hope09 0 Posted February 2, 2009 Hi jewel01 and welcome to the forum!:w00t: I was banded on the 25th although I am alone on that date as I live in the UAE and Sundays are the first day of our working week here. I joined in with the 26thers so I didn't feel left out! We have a thread on the monthly lapbanders section in January 09 and the thread is called January 26th. Come and join us, we are going through our journey together with the ups and downs, the pain and the gas! I also had a hiatal hernia repair done at the same time and had my stitches out this morning. Of course you can join our little 'group', it is open to anyone who wants to post on the thread 'January 26th' on the monthly section of the forum so please just go ahead and post on there:biggrin: You don't have to have been banded on the 26th! We are happy to share our journey with everyone! However you will also find a thread called January 23rd so you might want to chat with them! How have you found it so far KD and jewel? KD12309 0 Posted February 4, 2009 Hi Hope, Thnaks so much for the reply. I have been doing ok but I am struggling. I feel a bit weak and am trying to balance my intake which is mostly liquids right now. I did mash up some chili which was good. The people and posts on this site are really helping me.
