I am the single Mominator of two cool kids 14 & 9 when they find time in their schedules to be home lol..

For the daily grind:

I've had my LVN's license since 1997. I just finished the Esthiology course from Aveda institute. Ended up in ICU as a patient so that put a halt on my state boards, then had Lap Band (woot). So the career change is in a bit of limbo right now. It's all Bueno though  I love giving facials and can't wait to get my massage license too!!

I'm a wife and mom. My son is 20 and off to college, and my daughter is 15 and a freshman in high school.

I have degrees in Psychology and Agency Counseling, but I've spent the past 20yrs owning my own business as a Mary Kay consultant. It gave me the ability to be a 6 figure stay at home mom! ;-) I love my life!

Always ;-)

I enjoy doing it. She is so precious and such a handfulll. But I wouldn't change it for all the money in the world. Somehow, when I am depressed about something, she always knows how to make me smile and laugh.

I'm a clinical nursing manager in a pediatric emergency department. We are a level one trauma center and just found out that we were granted "Magnet" status!!

I also have 5 kids, ages 26, 19, 16, 14, and 12. They certainly keep me busy!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
