Hey Nooshie,

I tried to go to the website you referenced and this is the message I received: Uh oh!

Sorry, the user you are looking for does not exist.

Am I doing something wrong?

Kinda what I do...I am a histotech at a Childrens hospital. 17 years later and yep! its the best job ever!:tongue2:

How neat to find another pathology person :cheated: I've only been grossing for a year but it never ceases to amaze me how high the rate of job satisfaction is in the field. I might be cross training in histology in the coming year, at the moment I don't get any farther than loading and maintaining the processors.

So many jobs....I was originally hired as "Girl Friday" 6 years ago. Now I am Executive Secretary/Banquet Coordinator/Webmaster/Membership Marketing Director/Family Activities Director for a private country club. I think I enjoy the pressure of always having something that must be done.

And on top of that, I am the wife of a Marine and the mother of a 13 year old drama queen. (Also have 2 grown boys) In my free time (occassionally I have that) I like to redecorate our house, sew and read true crime.

I love my life right now. However, sometimes when I have a few seconds to think, I wonder if I stay this busy and continue to take on more and more in order to not have time to deal with the past/pain.

I am a Lead Business Analyst in the IT department of a very large U.S. Airline. Love my job, hate the constant uncertainty of whether or not I will be one of the unlucky ones who gets layed off.

Yea, I understand that feeling. We keep getting slower and slower and we are over staffed! SCARY TIMES...

I'm a civilian working for the local Sheriff's Office. I run the county Jail Diversion Program which removes the mentally ill from the justice system or jail (if they meet established criteria) and gets them into treatment instead. It's federally funded through a grant, so I worry about my future employment as well.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
