GREATFUL 24 Posted July 16, 2009 I am awake, very groggy and doing well. Surgery was at 8:30 am and got home around 2:30 pm. My wonderful DH is the best nurse in the world. Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers. I am looking forward to seeing what it looks like. Back to bed for me. The newly flattened Laura
Sue Magoo 71 Posted July 16, 2009 Laura: Wow, home already! Glad all went well. Now, go back to bed and just get up to pee for the next three days! Be a good patient for your Nurse (DH). Remember, don't laugh much! Let me know if you have any questions. Sue

GREATFUL 24 Posted July 17, 2009 Had a good night, only had to get up once to pee. I slept in the bed with my wedge and pillows under my knees. I feel real good this morning, hope it stays that way. Taking the pain med every 4 hours. I have a very exciting schedule planned for me today. Pee, take pain med, and sleep. Hay I might just throw in a movie for the fun of it. I have to bragg on my PS. He called me last night around 8:30 pm just to check on me. Not his nurse HIM. He wanted to make sure I was not in any pain, drinking lots of fluids, and peeing okay. Oh, yesterday before they took me back, after he marked me up, we all joined hand and said a prayer. Not your typical PS. He is not only a wonderful PS, his is a wonderful christian man also. I am very lucky. Drugs kicking in, back to bed. Laura
Sue Magoo 71 Posted July 17, 2009 Laura: Glad to hear you are doing so well. I couldn't have possibly been home the first night after my surgery because of the nausea issues I had. It's nice to hear how caring your plastic surgeon is. There are alot of nice people in this world. Sounds like you have a good plan for day #2. Take care. scrappy_friend 0 Posted July 17, 2009 Laura so glad you are doing well. So cool about the ps praying with you. When I had my lapband they drugged me before I went into the operating room. I remember 2 things one was I asked the lapband doctor if he prayed that morning and he said yes he did. That made me feel good. He later told me he always prays in the morning before surgerys. Did they tell you how many pounds your extra skin weighed? Mine was 7 pounds and he said was very little fat that I had that all worked off before surgery. Good for you at being able to sleep at night I spent the first 2 nights in the hospital and didn't sleep very well at all. Well as far as that goes I'm still not sleeping very well. I am a belly sleeper and not allowed to do that yet. If I remember I'm gonna ask when I can start sleeping on my belly again.

GREATFUL 24 Posted July 18, 2009 Thanks Josie and Mimi. I cannot wait to see it without the binder also. But I am going to try to make until Monday. My biggest fear about removing it before then is the chance I will mess up the pain pump some how. Do not want to be without it until it is empty. I truly believe it is what has helped me out the most. Josie my surgery last 3 hours and he took off around 5 lbs. It is amazing how good I feel. But I am taking it easy, I just want to heal and not mess anything up. Take care, Laura
