January 30th Friday Morning Weight-in

I figured I would start a thread.

I finally got my second fill this week. The doctor could only pull out 0.5cc and was confused on where the other 0.5cc went to so now I have a total of 1.75cc in my band.

This week I am 209.0!!! Almost there to wonderland.

I was really working hard to have a good follow-up to last week's 4 lb loss, but I managed to gain 1.5 lbs.

Last Friday: 229.5

This morning: 231

I've hit the gym at lunch and after work four days this week and I've been keeping my calorie intake around 1000 per day. I'm convinced that I've just added some muscle mass and Water, but the scale movement is discouraging (especially since I was at 228 on Saturday morning). I hadn't been under 230 since high school (30 years ago).

Well I lost a pound this past week. Bummer. But I am having my 4th fill in early Feb. So that will help I'm sure. Guess it's better than gaining weight LOL

I don't know if I will make my Valentine's Goal though. I'll keep trying.

I am down one pound this week for a total of 67 lbs. Hard to believe it has been 5 months since I had my surgery.

I am down 2 pounds since the last time I weighed in. I had another fill a week and a half ago. So, I am at 7.2cc in a 10cc band. So hopefully with this fill I can lose at a little faster rate. My doctors is happy with my weight loss, it's only been about 1 pound a week. That is just the way it goes...

I'll take it! Slow but it's a loss. :rolleyes:

I go in for another fill on Tuesday. We'll see what happens!

Wow - some people are doing great! Congratulations.

I am stuggling like others, but it is in my control. I need to put a game plan together to get out of this rut. I know that a lot of this is due to DH surgery and the holidays. I am grateful no gain, just maintaining.

Gilta 63 pounds is amazing. It's best to lose slow and steady. I am just happy not to have gained anything over the holidays, I did a very small amount of cheating. I think the last 40 lbs. or so are harder to lose. But I take it one day at a time and one weight in per week so I don't get discouraged.

Your doing fine and so is everyone else.

I didn't post last week cause I was out of town but I've finally broken my plateau! I'm down 6 pounds in 2 weeks!

Way to go Everyone! Looks like we are all still trucking down that road, occasionally hitting some pot holes, but still heading down hill. I had a good week. Discovering putting a scoop of unflavored Protein in my coffee with some s/f vanilla sure helps me make sure I get enough protein in.

So I am happy with my loss and I am going keep pushing.

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
