When she told Curry that she was saving all her money for IVF she probably was at that time. It's not cheap you know.

She was a nurse, so she made pretty good money when she was working.

What? I didn't know she was a nurse. :tt2: Does anyone know what kind of nurse she was? I personally find her a disgrace to the nursing profession if she was really a nurse. She should have know better than to have that many children. Her work as a nurse should have shown her that you can't have babies just because you want to be loved. How in the world could she have ever thought she could afford or care for that many? Sorry for my ranting. Uggh :tt2:

She was NOT a nurse. She was a tech. Huge difference. And techs don't make that much money. I know, I used to be one.

Thanks for the clarification Carrie, that's what I kinda thought. There is a huge difference...like a degree or two, lol. I was a tech, (ok a nursing assistant way back then) and they don't make much more than minimum wage in most organizations.

Anyway, I hope she's not telling people she used to be a nurse. It totally irks me when people do that. :tt2:

Whoops, my bad..you're right...it says "tech doing basic nursing duties." Sorry.

Well, we have already established that her logic is imprecise (when it suits her) and shallow - she has, afterall, been telling everyone that she is not on welfare....

How do you know that she didn't have this plastic surgery BEFORE she had kids? She was a nurse, so she made pretty good money when she was working. If she had the surgery before kids, then so what?

Because they showed pictures of her -- WITH KIDS (though not these babies) -- and she looked normal. Later on, she looked like her head got sucked into a vacuum.

She may be going to school to become a nurse. Maybe that's what I heard. About the welfare thing... Some people do believe that welfare is when you collect 'cash' assistance, and foodstamps isn't the same as welfare. In her defense, when I was on welfare all those years ago, they used to ask me, "Do you get welfare, or foodstamps? Do you get medical coverage?" So, she may have been confused as to what actually is welfare.

No, I don't think she's telling people that. She said on the interview that she was a tech. I was a nursing assistant too, and the pay is a joke.

Also, collecting disability payments is not welfare. If someone is disabled, and she would have to have a doctor prove it, whether herself or her children, then it is a legitimate income. And if she is getting disability, then she deserves to. As far as the student loans go, if she has taken out loans, then they she will have to repay them just like the rest of us. What business is that of anyones? Student loans are not just for tuition, they can be used for living expenses a well.

No, she is not in school to be a nurse. It would be kinda hard to be a nurse with a bad back.

She will be able to return her moms goodness towards her at that time. I am sure that there will be a HUGE audience to view her life on TV. I'm sure most of you will watch it. It's something everyone wants to hear about.

Oh, I hope not. We cannot in good consciosness support this woman's dillusional perceptions of motherhood and support of all her children.

The best thing society could do for this mom, is have CPS step in and protect the children while mom receives mental health services. Profiting off our children is disgusting.

LOS Angeles, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- The Learning Channel's president says Nadya Suleman, the California woman who recently gave birth to octuplets, won't be getting her own TLC show.

.

Glad to hear it. Profiting off of innocent children is wrong!!:tt2:

Even if she had 1 kid or 2 or 3 at the time that she had her plastic surgery, So what? If she had the money at the time and could afford to do it, then who are we to say she can't spend her money on whatever she wanted to? I'm sure that at the time she had her surgery, she wasn't thinking that she would one day have 8 or 9 or 10 more kids to support, so "I better bank this money I have."

Oh please, living with your parents at reduced rates with 1 or two children does not justify spending money on PS. Children come first, not a parent's own selfish lustful needs.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
