will pbing cause damage?

Recommended Posts

and what EXACTLY is the difference between pbing and throwing up? I think I am just pbing. Immediately after eating (as in minutes), no stomach acid, i just lean over and .... you get the picture. From eating too fast (I get hungry and do NOT slow down) or too much. I am slowly learning but still do this 1x a day. When I am good, I can go days without doing it so I don't want to loosen it.

Please slow down when you eat. If you continually pb, I think it can cause swelling. I have had it happen to me when I became too tight after my hysterectomy. I try not to let myself get really hungry, so I don't rush my meals.

Oh, and there is a BIG difference, as you have certainly noticed. There isn't any stomach acid when you pb, so it isn't as nasty.

This is my first post, but I hope you can help me. I was banded April 2008. I have done remarkably well, losing down to my goal weight, etc. The problem is that recently I have not been able to keep much down---pbing every day---sometimes twice. I can no longer eat anything spicy, drink coffee, or tolerate foods that I have done well with for months. I know that I haven't been as good about eating slowly or chewing well so that may be part of it. I did great after my last fill, so I can't figure out why I am having so much trouble with heartburn and acid reflux now. I'm private pay so I can't afford a lot of test. Any suggestions? It is awesome to be thin, but miserable to have heartburn constantly. Help! Any suggestions?

You may not have coverage to do band testing, but you should be able to go to the doctor if you are having acid reflux. That is a medical issue which may or may not have anything to do with you band.

First you probably have a lot of swelling if you are pbing that much. You may need to do fluids for a couple of days. Then you may want to move to the 5 day pouch test.

Surgical Weight Loss 5 Day Pouch Test

Please be certain to slow down and chew well. If you continue to have problems pbing you really need to get an unfill.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
