1 Week Until Surgery!!!!

I'm having surgery next Thursday, February 5th. :scared: I'm SOOO excited! Just wanted to share my exciting news!! Can't wait to be banded and start showing everyone the "real" me! :thumbup:

Congratulations!:thumbup: I have my surgery on Feb. 18th!! I'm getting a little nervous but very excited!

Are you doing anything special to prepare?

My doc does not require a pre-op diet but I thought it would be good to do one of my own to prepare.

My doctor puts us on a high Protein, low carb diet 2 weeks prior to surgery. This is supposed to shrink the liver, which I was told that an enlarged liver can sometimes interfere with the surgery. I'm doing pretty well. I'm excited for the surgery, but nervous as well, as I've never had surgery or stayed overnight in the hospital. It's a new experience that I'm going to take for the new me! :thumbup:
